Chronic Wasting Disease
Chronic Wasting Disease has been found in deer breeding pens mostly in Medina County. Interim rules from Last year (implemented in +/- Aug 2015 to current) are believed to be changing soon as per Texas Parks and Wildlife current proposal recently submitted to the Texas Register. Classification of Deer Breeding Facilities is now and in the future will be of upmost importance. These Categories are TRANSFER Categories I, II, or III with I being the MOST desirable by a prospective purchaser.
Our Atascosa 545B (Breeding) Facility is indeed a TC I breeding Facility.
Our Live Oak 667B Facility is currently a TC II breeding Facility.
